Background
Situation
The customer is an infrastructure manager in Denmark and is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of infrastructure. The customer's IT systems are therefore of great importance to the operational activities of the business.
Challenge
The customer was facing an upgrade of their current IT systems. The business needed procurement support to ensure that their IT department would be fully prepared to support the operation of the new system(s) and thus ensure efficient use of the applications.
Purpose
The purpose of the project was to facilitate the role of Lead Procurement Consultant in identifying the areas to be tendered and then handle all procurement-related activities in connection with the tenders.
Approach & Results
A-2 has assisted the customer in connection with the procurement of the group's administrative IT systems. The customer has been assisted in identifying (The reference includes, but is not limited to, the following service areas):
- IT Service Management, Governance og Service Integration In-sourcing af support og ADHOC
- Creating a Cloud strategy
- Directives and recommendations from the ministry and/or other public authorities
- Pre-analysis and tender planning and assistance with requirements specification
- Market analysis and help finding suitable suppliers
- Identifying the necessary system adaptations to enable real competition
- Input for tender design and choice of tender form, as well as preparation of the tender notice and other material
With the support of A-2, the customer has prepared and implemented several IT-related tenders. A-2 has thus contributed to the successful implementation of supporting tools that have ensured satisfactory use of the applications.
